Summary: When notorious crime boss John Winchester throws himself in front of a bullet meant for his son, Dean not only has to step up and take charge of the Family Business, he also has to deal with his own feelings of grief and guilt; feelings that are made even worse by the horrific secret John divulged to Dean with his dying breath.
Getting somewhat shit-faced and fucking a dark-haired, blue-eyed stranger is almost certainly the worst way possible for Dean to not-deal with the situation. Especially when it seems the stranger may have dangerous secrets of his own.

A/N: Set season six, between The French Mistake and …And then there were none.
Story is mostly canon compliant, although Sam and Dean find out about pureblood werewolves earlier than in canon. This story owes a debt of gratitude to the Angel episode The Ring…in case anyone thought it seemed a bit familiar!

Summary: 
When Dean disappears after a hunt in Montana, Sam will stop at nothing to find him. As he tears up the Mid-west looking for answers, Sam learns that it’s not only hunters who are disappearing; monsters are being kidnapped too.

Meanwhile, Dean awakes to find himself locked in a cell. Being held captive sucks, but he knows his brother will come for him soon. Until that happens, all he has to do is kill monsters in an arena. In front of an audience. Wearing sandals and a leather skirt.

It’s not as much fun as it sounds.

So there's a community called cakehole_club which does themed challenges for Supernatural and Supernatural RPF podfics.

They've just had a Cake Swap challenge and angelzfurys asked if they could podfic my story I put a spell on you (because you're mine) as a gift (which turned out to be for firesign10!)

Story Summary: Magus Jared Padalecki was just trying to study for his exams. He didn’t mean to let his magic claim the hot green-eyed stranger sitting opposite him in the library.

I've only listened to the first minute so far, because I got all blushy and shy listening to someone else speaking words that I wrote, but I think it will be helpful to see how my story sounds out loud!  

Oh boy! What a frenzy.

Thanks to a slight daylight savings time miscalculation on my part, SPN Reversebang Claims actually didn't open up until 2.00am here in Oz...fortunately I had a party to go to beforehand, so I haven't had to wait up too long for the post to open. And when it did...boy oh boy!

1.59am. I hit refresh. Claims not open.
2.00am. I hit refresh. Claims open. THERE ARE ALREADY 39 CLAIMS!!! I hit comment. I hit paste. (having already cleverly pre-copied my choices). Livejournal thinks and whirs.
2.01am. My claim is made. By now there have already been 73 claims made prior to mine.

I think I've gotten my first choice. I quickly scrolled through and...couldn't see that art number prior to my claim. Fingers crossed.

So much awesome art, but not everything sparks an idea. There were several pieces that I would happily frame and put on my wall, but I don't have a single story idea for them.

Anyhoo. That was Claims. Yeesh. I'm going to bed now!  Good luck everyone who's taking part! :D

Oh, I so hope all you lovely artists are putting together the final touches for your art submissions, because the words "...there are still many more writers than pieces of art..." fill me with DREAD! Dread, I tell you.

I love this challenge and truly hope there is enough fabulous art to go around. :)
