Summary:
Jensen Ackles is an LAPD helicopter pilot. He’s also a cynical, troubled Vietnam veteran whose flashbacks and reckless ways mean he’s churning through partners too fast to count. Nobody wants to work with him anymore.

Jared Padalecki is a young, idealistic police officer and due for his first promotion. He’s also an Out gay man at a time when the AIDS virus has just started to make headline news. He’s endured endless homophobic taunts and had other officers refuse to provide him with backup. Nobody wants to work with him.

When Jared is assigned to be Jensen’s new Observer, they're not sure which of them the partnership is supposed to be punishing, but the pair soon discover that they make a great team. And Jared thinks they could be something more if Jensen ever ventured out of the closet long enough for something more than a one night stand with a stranger.

When they’re selected to test pilot a state-of-the-art combat helicopter with cutting-edge surveillance capabilities, the pair unwittingly stumbles on sinister information about the government’s plans for the new helicopter. I have shamelessly stolen some dialogue from Total Recall (but to quote Marie from Fan Fiction, not enough to get us in trouble ) all credit to the writers. There are also a few lines of dialogue from Supernatural and Dark Angel taken completely out of context and reappropriated because they fit the scene so well and I like to throw in Show easter eggs here and there. Credit, again, to those writers.

Summary:
Dean Winchester has a pretty sweet life. He works in construction; he married his long-time girlfriend, Carmen, straight out of high school; and he’s almost paid off a basic apartment in the Middle District. He may never have left his home district, let alone his home planet, but he’s happy… more-or-less.

So why does he keep dreaming about the red wastelands of Mars? Why does he know more about the Martian Resistance than he has any right to? And who do the long, long legs and decidedly male butt that have him waking up achingly hard every morning belong to?

Maybe Dean just needs a holiday? He couldn’t afford a real one, of course, but maybe he could go to Déjà Vu and get the memories of a holiday implanted; get Mars out of his system.

Of course, that’s when the trouble really starts.
