Just when I'd finally got the hang of facebook I decide to get a live journal and once again find myself lost in a strange new world. For instance, why do I have butterflies when I asked for coffee cups?
Still the communities seem cool and maybe now is not the best time for sorting through complexities. Probably best to pick this up again tomorrow....

Wandered over here after you commented on one of my stories, and I just wanted to say "Welcome to LJ!" It's a bright and shiny world most of the time, and since I see that you've been reading on ff.net--which is affectionately (and otherwise) known around these parts as "The Pit"--I think you'll find that the quality of authors is much higher here. Thanks! As you can see I haven't done much with my own journal yet...still figuring out how it all works (and probably spending far too much time exploring other people's journals and communities!) I'll probably get 'round to posting some of my own fic here one day....and yes, I've been astounded and delighted by the very high standard of writing I've been coming across.
